Display rules

Highlight information based on rules

Using display rules (or conditional formatting) helps you to access a quick overview and focus on aspects that are important to you. For example, maybe it’s important for your organisation to improve how you’re managing open positions, by using display rules to highlight vacancies – you can always ensure you never lose track of where recruiting efforts are necessary.

Another common use case is being able to visualise remote workers compared to in-office employees. You could define a display rule that hides out all in-office workers providing you with a quick overview of the number of people working from home.

There are endless ways to analyse your data with display rules. As long as you have the data available in your HR system or in an Excel file, orginio has the ability to effectively visualise it in an org chart.

How to get started

Ready to highlight important information in your org chart? Download the orginio free trial, once you have access all it takes is a few simple clicks to define custom display rules.

As a first step set – you must choose what condition you would like to create a rule around, and then decide whether the object should take on a pre-defined colour or be blanked out. For example, the images below show you how to mark all departments with a high headcount.
